Cars at The Station – FAQs

The fun begins Friday, September 11 from 4:00 – 9:00 p.m. and continues on Saturday, September 12 from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

There is no cost to attend Cars at the Station – this is a free community event!

Yes! Cars at the Station is a family-friendly event and we encourage you to bring your friends and family. And we have amazing partners who will be activating within Michigan Central’s campus and Roosevelt Park to make it fun for kids of all ages!

With the exception of service animals, we ask you to please leave your furry friends at home.

Please submit a vehicle application on the https://carsatthestation.com/ website to show your vehicle on Friday and/or Saturday. The Cars at The Station team will begin confirming vehicles in mid-August.

No. You can select Friday, Saturday or both when you fill out the registration form on our website.

We’re looking to curate a little bit of everything for this event! If you’re proud of your Ford, your Fiat or your Ferrari . . . bring it!

And if you’re hoping to be part of the 1980s-99 RADwood LITE vehicle display, the RADwood team will be combing through vehicle applications and reaching out for their curated display on the Newlab lawn.

Great question! We are a first-come first-served “inclusive” community event that just happens to have great cars. And we are focused on providing spaces to those who register.

We are taking the first approved vehicles starting promptly at Noon on Friday, ensuring those who want to have prime parking on the Roosevelt Park “Promenade” dead-center to the front of the Michigan Central Station.

We are recommending that everyone take their vehicle home overnight and return for load-in on Saturday morning.

We recommend that you park at the Bagley parking garage located at 1501 Wabash St, Detroit, MI 48216.

Yes! Some of the best food in Detroit will be available for purchase and we will also have a Beer Garden for attendees over 21 years of age to enjoy.

YES…..if it doesn’t contain beer or other alcoholic beverages. There will be food available for purchase as well.

Cars at the Station attendees may bring lawn chairs, blankets and coolers with non-alcoholic beverages.

If you plan spend the weekend in Detroit, we recommend staying at the Cambria Hotel located at 600 W Lafayette Blvd, Detroit, MI 48226.
